Post-Congress Trip to Plovdiv

After the closure of the congress, we invite you to a two-days excursion to Plovdiv and Bachkovo-Monastery. Plovdiv is one of Bulgarians most prominent, beautiful and ancient Cities. It combines the benefits of an old town, having a centrum with cozy streets, nice boutiques, historical monuments and very tasty restaurants on one side and a modern part, with busy streets, the industrial fare and much more. Plovdiv was elected for the cultural capital of Europe for 2019. The sightseeing program starts on Monday morning, 11.09.2023 and includes the travel from Sofia to the Bachkovo Monastery and after it to Plovidv, both by bus, a lunch in a good restaurant in Plovdiv, a walk and sightseeing tour trough the ancient city, spare time in the evening and staying overnight in a 4-Stars hotel. A guide will accompany you during the visit of the Bachkovo-Monastery and the walk trough the ancient town in the afternoon. In a booklet we have summarized some info about the places of interest, as well as proposals where you could dine in the evening. On the next morning the bus will bring you back to Sofia (Airport or City). The price for the excursion will be 125 Euro per person for a double room and 145 Euro for a single room, incl. transportation, hotel stay, the lunch and the guided tour.
