In body psychotherapy, death and birth may appear in many forms: the literal experiences of arrival and loss, but also the quieter deaths and births that shape a life. The ending of an identity, the birth of a voice. The death of an old defence, the emergence of new vitality. The body carries these transitions in breath, contraction, expansion, silence, trembling, stillness, and movement.

This panel discussion will explore how body psychotherapy can accompany people at these profound thresholds. How do early experiences of birth live on in the nervous system? How do experiences of death, grief, or existential uncertainty shape the embodied self? What becomes possible when the therapeutic space allows something to end, so that something else may come into being?

Together, we will consider death and birth not as opposites, but as entwined movements in the ongoing mystery of becoming human.
